They are an evolution of the brand's minimalist and ergonomic Liberty office chair, created with late industrial designer Niels Diffrient, and are available in a variety of colours and textile finishes.
Similarly to the Liberty range, the chair also incorporates Humanscale's form-sensing mesh back, which automatically adjusts the backrest to the contours of the user's body.
This works in tandem with a pivoting backrest, self-adjusting recliner and contoured seats to ensure the chairs offer sitters a "customised fit".
"Liberty Ocean marries the timeless design of our classic Liberty chair while using recycled fishing nets that continuously degrade our oceans and marine life," said Humanscale's chief sustainability officer Jane Abernethy.
"At Humanscale, we're constantly pushing the boundaries on how plastics and other materials can be reimagined into beautiful ergonomic furniture that not only serve our consumers but our world at large."
