Dezeen Debate features Sam Crawford Architects' "broken" eel-shaped bridge in Sydney

Sam Crawford Architects has created a curving bridge in Sydney inspired by the bara, or long-finned eel. The studio replicated the shimmering appearance of eels by covering the sides of the bridge with gold and silver anodised aluminium.
The 40-metre-long structure is mounted on three piles to preserve inhabitants of the pond below, which includes the long-finned eel itself.
Commenters had mixed opinions on the bridge, with one saying it "fits in with its environment", whilst others weren't keen on the concept and queried if it was "broken or falling apart".
