Flo X monitor arm

Colebrook Bosson Saunders designs flexible high-load monitor arm

Promotion: ergonomic design brand Colebrook Bosson Saunders has created Flo X – a single monitor arm that can hold up to 43-inch large screens and provide "the perfect ergonomic position in seconds".

Flo X is a heavy duty monitor arm that is subtle and monochrome in appearance. It can hold a series of screens weighing up to 18 kilograms.

"We set about designing the seemingly impossible," said Colebrook Bosson Saunders. "A single monitor arm that could mount the growing variety of screen types, sizes and the wide range of weights necessary in the workplace of today and tomorrow."

While Flo X caters for heavy screens, the monitor arm has also been designed to support lighter screens weighing a minimum of three kilograms.

According to the brand, this adaptability nods to the current trend for lighter-weight screens, equipping Flo X with "future-flexibility".

The monitor arm also features an in-built D-ring mechanism that allows the product to elevate curved as well as wider screens.

"[This is] all while still being able to easily adjust and tilt so you can find the perfect ergonomic position in seconds," added Colebrook Bosson Saunders.

The brand explained that Flo X can accommodate a range of screens thanks to its unique dual spring technology, which allows the monitor arm to be easily adjusted to support various types of screens.

"Flo X has been specifically designed to fine-tune the position of a large 43-inch screen," said Colebrook Bosson Saunders. "Ensuring that users can easily move it to a perfect position."

The product was designed in response to recent changes in the workplace, where computers and laptop sizes might be getting smaller, but individual monitors are "having something of a growth spurt," according to the brand.

According to Colebrook Bosson Saunders, workers' productivity is often increased with larger monitors because they offer a bigger display of information and also provide more bodily comfort to those who are not constantly having to switch between smaller screens.

"In most cases, the bigger the screen, the higher the resolution," added the brand. "Being able to see whatever is displayed on your screen more easily greatly reduces eye strain and fatigue."

Colebrook Bosson Saunders said that Flo X has in-built "future flexibility"

Flo X was designed to avoid what Colebrook Bosson Saunders called "the dreaded droop" – when monitor arms struggle to cope with the dimensions, weight or curved shape of a new screen.

Rather, the flexible product intends to provide long-term support to the monitors it elevates as workers update them over time.

"A larger monitor improves productivity by allowing you to see the bigger picture, quite literally," concluded the brand.

"With more information on display at the same time, you gain a better understanding and a greater insight into whatever task you have on the go."

Made in Europe, Flo X is protected by a 12-year warranty and is also delivered in plastic-free packaging.
