Dezeen Showroom: Catalan designer Eugeni Quitllet worked with outdoor lifestyle brand Vondom on an outdoor seating collection that combines artificial and natural materials.

The Tulum outdoor range is made up of armchairs, sofas and dining chairs that are characterised by consistent use of metal and timber.

The pieces are made from a combination of aluminium, which creates a robust yet lightweight frame, and Indonesian teak wood, which provides textural detail to the arms and sides of the seats.

Despite their elegant appearance, the pieces are sturdy and can withstand even the harshest of weather conditions, according to Vondom.

Seats can be upholstered in a selection of weatherproof fabrics and materials, and the collection is suitable for use in both private and public settings.
