You only have two weeks left to enter Dezeen Awards China! We've put together some frequently asked category questions to help you get your entry in on time.

Dezeen Awards China, in partnership with Bentley Motors, is open for entries. The entry period ends at midnight Beijing time on Thursday 24 August, after which late entry fees will take effect.

Read on for a selection of frequently asked questions about our categories:

Where can masterplans be entered?

Masterplans are generally suitable for the mixed-use project category, as long as your project has at least two distinct uses. This could include residential, commercial or cultural uses as well as urban design improvements and landscape projects.

Can architectural lighting be entered into lighting design?

Yes, we accept lighting that is separate from and part of architectural projects, as well as interior and exterior lighting (excluding office use). This could range from a lamp to a lighting project designed specifically for an architectural space.

Where can landscape projects be entered?

Your landscape project is suitable for the mixed-use project category as long as it is part of a bigger project with a different use, for instance, a residential tower or workplace. This section does not need to have been designed by your studio but it should still be acknowledged in your entry form.

Standalone landscape projects are not eligible.

Are installations eligible?

If your installation has a strong enough architectural element, it can be entered into the cultural project category. If you are unsure, please email us at [email protected].

With no education project category, where is suitable for schools and universities?

Kindergartens, schools, colleges, universities and other further or higher education institutions can be entered into the civic project category.
