Dezeen Showroom: Venn is a minimalist collection of lights by British brand Astro Lighting that takes visual cues from modernist architecture.

Designed primarily for use in hospitality spaces and guest rooms, Venn offers a mix of "warm ambient lighting and focused task lighting", said Astro Lighting.

The collection includes matching floor light and desk light varieties, as well as wall light and wall light-reader versions.

Each model comprises a silver metallic fixture or stands and is teamed with the brand's curved off-white Stadium shade.

According to Astro Lighting, the collection takes cues from modernist architecture – a style that emerged in the late 19th century and prioritised materials such as steel.

Each model is available and can be made to order as a switch-operated light.
