Hand-knotted rugs by Hare + Klein and Designer Rugs
Dezeen Showroom: Australian brand Designer Rugs collaborated with interior design firm Hare + Klein to develop a range of hand-knotted Tibetan wool rugs informed by Australia's unique landscapes.
All pieces in the Designer Rugs x Hare + Klein collection are handmade and each references a different organic form present among Australia's diverse topographies, ranging from individual pebbles to giant rocky outcrops.

The collection is distinguished by its use of soft and durable Tibetan wool alongside other natural fibres, which are combined to create textural variation. Each rug is made by artisans in Nepal, who Designer Rugs have been partnering with for 30 years.
The designs in the collection include Shores, an ocean-inspired rectangular rug with ragged splashes of blue, and Crevasse, whose abstracted pattern hints at a deep central fissure surrounded by limestone cliffs.

There are also circular designs such as Edrom, which is based on the complex surface of a single pebble found in a rock pool.
"We couldn’t be more thrilled to partner again with Hare + Klein on this milestone collection," said Designer Rugs managing director Yosi Tal.
"Their ability to transform natural inspirations into refined, contemporary designs continues to set a standard of excellence that resonates deeply with the art of rug making."
