Dezeen Showroom: Italian brand Casalgrande Padana has created an ode to larch wood with its Essence porcelain stoneware tiles, part of the Elements collection.

Essence tiles combine the rich grain and rustic character of larch – a timber often used in the construction and decoration of alpine lodges – with the high performance characteristics of porcelain stoneware.

The Essence tiles are part of Casalgrande Padana's Elements collection along with the concrete-like Pebbles and block-coloured Texture designs, which are all available in the same six shades.

These styles play nicely together in both traditional and modern spaces, enabling the creation of bespoke compositions and seamless indoor-to-outdoor spaces.

The Essence tiles are available in four plank-style formats, with options for both indoors and outdoors, including an anti-slip finish for al fresco settings.

The tiles boast a high mechanical strength and resistance to thermal shock, maintaining their appearance over time. Casalgrande Padana's Bios Antibacterial technology can be incorporated on request.
