Dezeen Showroom: designer Piergiorgio Cazzaniga and furniture brand Andreu World have added extra cushioning to one of their successful seating designs to make Capri Comfort – a minimalist executive chair that can now support longer periods of sitting.

Capri Comfort is an evolution of the Capri line of lounge and executive chairs, which have a light and pure expression defined by a slim upholstered back and seat and minimal visible mechanisms.

For Capri Comfort, Cazzaniga and Andreu World built out the seat and backrest with next-generation high-density foams, providing ergonomic support for modern executive offices, meeting rooms and home workspaces.

"Without altering the minimalist silhouette of the classic model, this design conveys a sense of understated luxury that invites long meetings or moments of reflection," said Andreu World.

The Capri Comfort chair is available with a choice of three backrest heights – low, medium or high – and three swivel bases, either with gliders or casters.

All versions include a tilting mechanism and pneumatic height adjustment to support dynamic sitting and enable a healthy recline, and come in a huge choice of fabrics including options from leading textile brands Kvadrat and Camira.
