Steelcase's redesigned WorkLife Studio shows how "thoughtful design can enhance wellbeing"
Promotion: furniture manufacturer Steelcase has unveiled its renewed WorkLife Studio space in London, which was designed to bring people and design expertise together.
The studio, located in London's vibrant Clerkenwell neighbourhood, aims to showcase the brand's latest workplace research and design solutions in an inspiring physical space.

Organic materials, including wood, were chosen to create a warm, welcoming interior, which is completed by a soft colour palette and plenty of green plants.
Steelcase said that the redesigned space now reflects the changing needs of today's workplace, which has been affected by increased screen time, shorter attention span, the rise of AI and a growing wellbeing crisis.

With WorkLife Studio, Steelcase aimed to create a space where people would be able to connect with each other and collaborate creatively.
"Visitors will discover seven interconnected zones, including collaborative neighbourhoods, technology-enabled meeting spaces, a co-design studio, a WorkCafé and flexible event areas," said Steelcase workplace strategy and design lead consultant Anisha Patel.
"The new space provides an opportunity to exchange ideas, discover the research and insights shaping the future of work, and experience first-hand how thoughtful design can enhance wellbeing, collaboration and performance."

Steelcase undertook extensive research and held design workshops to be able to tailor the WorkLife Studio to a range of styles and work preferences.
It now has focus areas for privacy and focused work, as well as collaborative spaces designed to encourage teamwork and a sense of belonging.

According to the brand, the aim is for the space to become a "living laboratory" where it can test new concepts and share insights together with customers.
Visitors to Steelcase's WorkLife Studio in Clerkenwell, which is now open, can collaborate with the brand's experts and see its products in action, as well as interact with a larger community of creators and designers.
