Dezeen Showroom: Milan collective Carnovsky has designed the RGB-Not wallpapers, a selection of digitally-printed wallpapers designed as contemporary frescoes.
RGB-Not wallpapers features the light-interactive qualities of Carnovsky's original RGB collection, first launched in 2010.
The new collection is characterised by a range of colours, from sienna and forest green to dusty pink and cobalt blue, depicting three different iterations of otherworldly scenes.
Each scene was devised as a play on a traditional fresco, a style of mural painting.
"Just like the RGB wallpapers, these new creations are intended as contemporary frescoes: windows opening onto fantastic worlds, enchanted forests and dreamlike jungles," said Carnovsky.
Made to order on digitally printed, non-woven material, the wallpapers come in 100-centimetre-wide rolls.
Carnovsky is the brainchild of artist and designer duo Francesco Rugi and Silvia Quintanilla. The studio is based in Milan.
