This week on Dezeen

This week we launched Dezeen Music Project, a new initiative to promote new, original music by upcoming musicians. We were also named #01 in the Best Blogs list of top 50 design blogs.

Meanwhile Stella McCartney unveiled the kit that British athletes will wear at the London 2012 Olympics, Kengo Kuma and Associates completed a museum screened by floating tiles and Studio Toogood installed scented totem poles in a Sydney wine bar to help customers choose what to drink.

Our most popular story featured a concrete church in Tenerife with walls lined in crushed volcanic rock. Some readers applaud its "earthy and primitive" look, while others think it's "frivolous in its own way".

Our Designed in Hackney feature continues with furniture made from scavenged materials, a tiny printer that aggregates all your chosen data streams into a personalised newspaper and an illuminated lace installation at the entrance to Kensington Palace.

Over on Dezeen Watch Store we're now stocking Wherever, the latest watch by Denis Guidone that tells the time in two places at once.

Follow us on Twitter and Facebook for regular updates and discussions throughout the week, plus you can now use Pinterest to save your favourite Dezeen images.
