Course dates: starts October 2025, with a duration of two years at full-time status
Application deadline: 21 August 2025

The MA in Industrial Design at the University of Ljubljana is a two-year, 120 ECTS programme designed for graduates from design, social sciences, engineering, economics, or natural sciences who wish to deepen their skills in strategic, future-oriented and sustainable design.

Rooted in real-world projects, the programme connects students with public and private sector partners to explore contemporary challenges. Through studio work and critical research, students develop solutions that span the entire product or service life cycle – from concept to implementation.

The curriculum encourages students to use design as a tool for environmental and social transformation. They are trained to lead interdisciplinary teams, manage complex design processes and critically apply theory to practice.

Combining design thinking, systems thinking, and visual literacy, the programme fosters innovation, ethics, and responsibility – preparing graduates for careers in industry, research and public policy. By graduation, students will have developed advanced skills in critical thinking, design strategy, applied research and sustainable product and service development.

Information day takes place on 16 June at 2:00 PM.
