AI-enhanced Architecture Summer School at Polytechnic University of Turin

The AI-enhanced Architecture Summer School at the Polytechnic University of Turin introduces students to the use of AI in architecture and design.

The MVRDV AI-enhanced Architecture Summer School at the Department of Architecture and Design, Polytechnic University of Turin, focuses on how AI is transforming the architectural process.

The course offers an opportunity for students and professionals to immerse themselves in MVRDV's groundbreaking design methodology.

Hosted at the prestigious Castello del Valentino, this intensive one-week course explores the integration of AI-driven tools across various stages of design, encouraging students to harness the creative potential of AI while retaining full control over their design intentions.

Through hands-on workshops and lectures, participants will dive deep into the systematic use of AI in architecture, guided by MVRDV's experts. With a strong focus on human-machine collaboration, students will engage with cutting-edge technologies like generative diffusion models and large language models.

The course will cover how AI can enhance traditional design processes and influence critical decisions, such as spatial organisation, structural analysis, material selection and lighting design. Special attention will be given to the emerging practice of AI collage-based design, where AI acts as an assistant rather than an autonomous creator, allowing architects to maintain creative agency.
