LBBA Architecture has designed Barbette in Paris, France.

Barbette is an atypical and bold transformation project, converting a 1930s parking lot into a mixed-use program of offices and housing.

Invisible from the street, the fully built plot – once dedicated to cars – is now an open, luminous and inhabited space.

Users and greenery reclaim their place in this urban core, creating a vibrant hub of activity and a true urban breath of fresh air.

This project highlights the site's industrial past: preserved materials, restored Hennebique frames and a rethought skylight to ensure visual and thermal comfort.

In addition, new patios and terraces enhance the different areas with vegetation and freshness.
