This week on Dezeen

This week Dezeen has been at the London Design Festival, where our most popular story has been the Prism installation displaying digital data from all over the city inside a secret tower at the V&A museum (above).

We've curated a series of installations in the Seven Dials area of Covent Garden, compiled all the city's events into one free map here, recorded audio clips with designers all over town here and you can find out about our series of talks and pop-up shops here.

Yves Behar on skeuomorphic design and Apple

Tom Dixon told us how copying in design affects his business at the Global Design Forum and Yves Behar (above) talked to Dezeen editor-in-chief Marcus Fairs at 100% Design about skeuomorphic design, explaining how Apple is "actually a little bit behind in that area."

Apple’s Jonathan Ive to design camera for Leica

Meanwhile Apple's Jonathan Ive (above) was having a good week, with the news that he will design a one-off camera for Leica and Apple being named best design studio and best brand of the past 50 years by D&AD.

Hôtel Droog by Droog

It was also an interesting week for hotel design, with Dutch brand Droog opening a hotel in Amsterdam (above), while a hotel room in Arnhem was entirely covered in scannable codes that link to “pornography, pin-ups and other piquancies” (below).
