Ross graduated from the University of Lincoln in 2010 with a degree in English Literature. He first became interested in design after a number of his friends started working in the industry, and spotted that many of them were struggling to communicate their ideas to a wider audience.
To help combat this, he launched his own print magazine in 2011 covering design, literature and culture, but quickly became more interested in the potential of online publishing and social media.
Ross joined Dezeen in 2013, after writing for various London-based magazines including Dazed and Confused and It’s Nice That. He was promoted to social media editor in 2014 and won the 2015 BSME award for Best Use of Social Media.
