Bio Iridescent Sequin
by EB-CD Futures

Elissa Brunato

Designer Elissa Brunato has designed the Bio Iridescent Sequin, which is made from trees, as a response to growing demands for greener fashion.

Fabricated from molecular structures of cellulose, the Bio Iridescent Sequin enables us to imagine a circular fashion economy, that doesn't feel like an aesthetic compromise.

The material's inherent ability to self assemble supports the creation of vibrant colours, without the need for synthetic pigments or hazardous chemical fixatives, and do not fade in sunlight or over time.

This project has been longlisted in the sustainable design category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
