Universal Design Studio has designed a health and fitness club that features a dedicated family zone in Islington, London.

Designed with local neighbourhood families and gym-goers in mind, Universal Design Studio conceived the space to encompass a number of high-performance, aesthetically-considered spaces, from a light-filled sculptured ceiling suspended over the swimming pool to the spa-like premium changing rooms.

The club is planned as a series of subterranean courtyards, illuminated by natural and imitation light wells and enhanced by an elegant material palette to evoke a spacious and sophisticated ambiance throughout.

This project has been longlisted in the leisure and wellness interior category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
