Baumschlager Eberle Architekten has designed La Maison de l'Innovation, a timber innovation hub in Nantes, France.
La Maison de l'Innovation is a bioclimatic timber workplace centred around a generous light-filled atrium designed for collaboration and wellbeing.
Commissioned by La Poste Immobilier, the seven-storey building provides flexible, future-proof workspaces for 1,200 IT professionals.
The architecture centres around a spacious atrium flooded with natural light, designed to foster collaboration and interaction.
Constructed largely from French-sourced timber and certified with HQE, E+C and BiodiverCity labels, this project combines ecological intelligence with striking spatial quality.
In addition, features like natural ventilation, passive cooling, green terraces and urban biodiversity measures make it a benchmark for sustainable office design.
This project has been longlisted in the workplace project (large) category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
