Plan Plan has designed the interiors of Nin Hao, a Fujianese restaurant in New York City, United States.
Nin Hao is a restaurant in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, designed as a spatial dialogue between tradition and contemporary sensibility.
The open plan interior is animated by layered materials that interact with light – translucent Austrian curtains, polycarbonate panels and warm cement tiles – creating a luminous, ever-changing atmosphere.
A flexible design framework supports rotating artwork and seasonal displays, while tactile surfaces and shared dining formats invite both personal comfort and communal engagement.
Balancing transparency with intimacy, the restaurant serves as a welcoming cultural platform that evolves over time.
This project has been longlisted in the restaurant interior category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
