OGU Architects, MMAS and Matilde Meireles have designed Drift, a shapeshifting, floating pavilion in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Drift, a floating pavilion on Belfast's River Lagan, has moored at two locations so far, taking a different form each time to respond to the site.
Augmenting the multisensory experience of the river, this project investigates making public space at the river's edge in a rapidly changing environment.
A collaboration between the architects and sound artist Matilde Meireles, the pavilion amplifies the multisensory experience of the river by inviting people to take time to experience being on the water.
This project has been shortlisted in the small project category of Dezeen Awards 2025.
