Competition overview

Architecture and design have the power to invoke emotions within a space – but to what degree?

The Museum of Emotions competition offers architecture enthusiasts from around the world the opportunity to explore the limits and potential of design in shaping emotional experiences.

Participants in the Museum of Emotions – Edition Nine competition are tasked with designing a museum that evokes two distinct emotional reactions – one positive and one negative.

As the ninth instalment in this ongoing series of silent competitions, participants must communicate their ideas without the use of any text. The architecture itself must do all the talking.

The Competition is open to submissions until February 22, 2027, with winners of the €8,000 prize fund to be announced on 13 April 2027.
