Graphic Design is a multi-disciplinary visual communication course that provides rich and varied experiences to develop your practice, including research methods, conceptual thinking, critical analysis and reflection, making, production and testing.
We encourage our students to explore the world outside our studios and workshops to consider the real problems and issues about which graphic design might propose solutions, and imagine new ways of communicating.
Design is not only about making beautiful or effective things but about generating tools that foster relationships and engage communities.
Our aim is to produce graduates who can think, are brave, creative and agile, can collaborate and are able to cross perceived boundaries to pursue ideas with care, craft and attention to detail.
We prepare you for the continually expanding field of graphic design by equipping you with the knowledge and confidence required to create solutions and tell stories that make and communicate positive change in the world.
We have exceptional links with a fast-moving and constantly developing industry, offering students opportunities for visits, placements, internships and live projects throughout their course.
Students regularly come into contact with high-profile speakers, experienced alumni and associate lecturers. This course offers an optional placement year.
