For more than 40 years, ArtEZ Product Design has been educating new generations of designers. The bachelors degree in Product Design is a full-time, practice-oriented design education program that delivers professionals at the forefront of the design field. We believe this department is more than just a place for education and strive to function as a laboratory for experimenting with the role and future of design within society.
With the core strength to rethink the world through material, students are expanding a broad perspective on the application of making. Material is the starting point and interface to stimulate discourse, engagement and practice. Through making, our students consider and question scenarios and equip themselves to explore material, social, technological and ecological contexts.
Having an outward view, being curious, imaginative and developing expertise through making are vital characteristics of our students. As course we enable students to become design professionals that can position themselves in challenging contexts and inter-disciplinary work formats.
Graduates embark on careers across a diverse range of established and emerging design professions ranging from working independent, employment in design companies, building collaborative practices or continue their education and research in a Master program.
