To celebrate the 90th anniversary of the creation of architect Alvar Aalto's eponymous vase, Finnish company Iittala and aluminium producer Hydro present a Tableau-designed pavilion informed by the object during 3 Days of Design 2026.

The pavilion is a seven-meter-tall, walk-in interpretation of the Aalto vase, in which visitors can experience the contours of the original 1930s design translated into contemporary architecture.

It was designed by local studio Tableau and built from low-carbon aluminium in the undulating shape of the iconic vase, which was designed by Aalto and his wife Aino.

The installation also features the Aalto City vase collection by Iittala, a new series of pieces inspired by famous cities, released for the anniversary, inside the structure.

Iittala and Hydro – Aalto 90 Pavilion takes place from 10 to 12 June 2026 at Ofelia Plads, Kvæsthusbroen, 1250 Copenhagen, Denmark.
