Dezeen Music Project: L'Eau Tonne by Aimedeuxhaine

This disco-infused dance track by French producer Aimedeuxhaine is another release by online label Curious Absurdities. Brimming with soulful melodies and funky bass-lines, L'Eau Tonne has been skilfully put together. The track seems even more impressive when you consider that Aimedeuxhaine is just 17 years old.

L'Eau Tonne is taken from an eight track EP called Somed, which you can download for free here.

This lush, downtempo electronica track is by a UK artist based in Stoke-on-Trent called Oathless. The track is taken from an EP of the same name released by online label Curious Absurdities in October. You can listen to the full EP for free here.

Dezeen Music Project: So It Goes by Brian Lewis Smith

We started the week off with a piece of jazz-infused score music by Florian Riedl, so we thought we'd continue the vibe with today's track by Brian Lewis Smith. So It Goes is a far more experimental piece, however, fusing shimmering electronic sounds with traditional jazz instruments and tones.

Dezeen Music Project: Russian Girl by Florian Riedl

It's not often that we get sent a piece of score music on Dezeen Music Project, so we were delighted when saxophonist and composer Florian Riedl shared this piece that was written for a German documentary called Russian Girls. Soothing and melodic, it's a lovely track to start the week with.

Dezeen Music Project: Not Givin' In by FreQ Nasty, featuring Tippa Irie and Solar Lion

Get ready for the weekend with this great moombahton track by breakbeat DJ extraordinaire FreQ Nasty, featuring UK reggae singer Tippa Irie and Dezeen Music Project favourite Solar Lion. This is the original mix, but there are loads of great remixes of the track on FreQ Nasty's Soundcloud page, so check them out too.

You can also listen to previous tracks by Solar Lion that we've featured on Dezeen Music Project here.

Dezeen Music Project: Grandma Got Groove by It Takes Two To Tango

The fantastically mellow groove on this track by UK producer It Takes Two To Tango is as chilled-out as it is soulful. If French duo Air ever recorded a track with Bill Withers, this is what it would sound like.

Make sure you also check out It Takes Two To Tango's remix of Settle Down by Kimbra that we featured on Dezeen Music Project earlier in the year.

Dezeen Music Project: Amendment XVIII by Fine Cut Bodies

Budapest producer and DJ Fine Cut Bodies has to be one of the most wonderfully eclectic artists we've featured on Dezeen Music Project. He's certainly not afraid of combining musical elements from whatever mix of genres takes his fancy. Amendment XVIII is a bass-heavy electronica track with the unmistakeable swing rhythm of jazz music. It shouldn't work, but somehow it does.

Check out the other Fine Cut Bodies tracks we've featured on Dezeen Music Project here.

Dezeen Music Project: Beeptweek by Glen Lib

We used this quirky little electronica track by American designer and musician Glen Lib on today's video interview with east London designer Donna Wilson. We could only use a short segment in the movie, so here's the full track.

We're using the track on interviews with all the designers who contributed pieces to the Stepney Green Design Collection, including the interview with Phil Cuttance that we published on Dezeen on Friday. You can watch all the movies as we publish them here.

Make sure you also check out the other Glen Lib track that we featured on Dezeen Music Project, a bouncy, up-beat electronic pop song called Spider String.

Dezeen Music Project: Tokyo Feeling by Jekka

This quirky electronic pop song by Moscow-based musician Jekka has a simple, repeating arpeggiated synth pattern at its base. It seems unremarkable at first, but transforms into the perfect counterpoint to Jekka's soaring, oddly melancholic vocals once she starts singing just under a minute in to the track.

Dezeen Music Project: Astro Dasher by Trash Inc

Beirut producer Trash Inc always brings a smile to our face with his infectious brand of electro, and this brash, irresistibly funky track is no exception. With its cheesy sci-fi synths and sampled dialogue from cult 1950s movie Queen of Outer Space, Astro Dasher sounds like it's been beamed down by a spaceship from some zany CinemaScope vision of the future.

Check out other tracks by Trash Inc that we've featured on Dezeen Music Project here.

Dezeen Music Project: Electric Fizz by Mykus, featuring Fruit Shoes

Here's another collaboration between UK producer Mykus and the singer Fruit Shoes, who are fast becoming Dezeen Music Project favourites. Just like their previous tracks Carrots and A Blemish, Electric Fizz is a glitchy mix of stuttering rhythms and mashed up samples that feels like it's on the verge of falling apart at any moment. It's a genuinely unique sound and well worth a listen.

If you like what you hear, make sure you check out the other tracks by Mykus and Fruit Shoes that we've featured on Dezeen Music Project so far.

Dezeen Music Project: Sharply Towards Hell by Arms Were Youth

This is the first track that Australian electronic musician Arms Were Youth has sent to Dezeen Music Project, and we certainly like what we hear. Sharply Towards Hell is a buzzing, bubbling mixture of different textures and sounds that's disorientating at first but soon makes sense once your ear starts to pick out the individual rhythms and melodies that make up the track.

  • Dezeen Music Project: When You Start by K H U S H I

East London musician K H U S H I is enjoying a seriously creative streak, bringing out a new track almost every week. We featured his first track on Dezeen Music Project earlier in the month, and this new one follows in a similar vein. Alternately soaring and intimate vocal melodies drive the song forward, with unshowy but effective keyboard and guitar parts providing backing and occasional embellishment.

If you like what you hear, make sure you check out other great tracks by K H U S H I on his Soundcloud page.

Dezeen Music Project: Atelier by Reset Robot

All this week we're featuring music by different artists as part of our Dezeen Live shows at 100% Design. We played songs by Strong Asian Mothers on yesterday's show, a band we featured on Dezeen Music Project earlier in the week, and today it's the turn of Portsmouth-based DJ Reset Robot to raise the roof at Earls Court.

This track will give you a taste of what Reset Robot is all about. Taking inspiration from the techno and tech house genres, we think it's exactly the kind of hard-hitting dance music you'd want a robot to make.

Dezeen Music Project: Who Knows? by Strong Asian Mothers

Strong Asian Mothers is another east London band, and includes K H U S H I (who we featured on Dezeen Music Project on Friday) on vocals and keyboards. But while Friday's track was gentle and tender, the big, dirty synth that underpins Who Knows? is anything but.

We will be featuring tracks by Strong Asian Mothers in our first Dezeen Live show at 100% Design during the London Design Festival.

    Dezeen Music Project: Seven Years Old by K H U S H I

We've never shied away from being eclectic on Dezeen Music Project, so after the glitchy, industrial intensity of Yuri Suzuki's track on Monday, we thought we'd change the vibe up completely with this tender pop song by upcoming east London musician K H U S H I.

The track's tone is set by its warm and fuzzy opening keyboard drone, before building to a gentle crescendo with layered vocal harmonies, chiming acoustic guitar hook and increasingly energetic drums.
