Dezeen Music Project: Burning Flowers by Underwater Firemen

Our second track of the week from Israeli music label Anova Music is a summery, psychedelic pop song by Tel Aviv-based band Underwater Firemen. With its hazy harmonies and wall of fuzzy keyboard and guitar sounds, Burning Flowers wouldn't sound out of place on an Of Montreal or Animal Collective album.

Make sure you check out yesterday's track by another Anova Music band called Kitzu, and head over to Anova Music's Soundcloud page to hear tracks by the other artists on their books.

Dezeen Music Project: Going Far by Kitzu

Israeli music label Anova Music have sent us over so many great tracks recently that we couldn't just choose one, so we're going to feature a track by one of their artists each day for the rest of the week on Dezeen Music Project.

First up is this slick track by Jerusalem-based band Kitzu. Taken from their recently released debut album, Going Far combines glitchy, post-rock instrumentation with a solid bass groove and infectious vocal hook.

Here's the third of a trio of house tracks we've featured on Dezeen Music Project this week. With You is an upbeat, sunny track by Californian DJ Krusht, taken from his recent EP By the Pool, which we featured the title track of on Dezeen Music Project last month.

You can also check out all the other house tracks we've featured on Dezeen Music Project here.

Today on Dezeen Music Project we've got some deep house courtesy of Greek DJs Nsquared. This track is a remix of Keep on Searching by G Spice, and features Nsquared's signature funky, jazz-infused house sound.

If you're enjoying the vibe, make sure you check out our other house tracks on Dezeen Music Project, including another Nsquared track that we featured back in April.

Dezeen Music Project: Blue Sapphire by Remote Scenes

Dezeen Super Store at 38 Monmouth Street has been open for a few days now, and we've been playing Dezeen Music Project tunes through our brand new Big Jambox, which is on sale at the shop.

Setting up a pop-up is always a hectic business, so we've been very appreciative of all of the great chill-out tracks that have been coming our way. This one is a new track by Remote Scenes, who we originally featured back in May. Make sure you check that track out too.

Dezeen Music Project: Settle Down (remix) by It Takes Two to Tango

We've been getting a lot of great remixes submitted to Dezeen Music Project recently, and this one by It Takes Two to Tango is no exception. The track is a competition entry in an Indaba Music contest to remix Settle Down by New Zealand singer-songwriter Kimbra, a voice you'll recognise from Gotye's 2011 hit Somebody That I Used to Know.

If you like the track, you can vote for it on the Indaba Music website, as well as listen to the many other entries. You can listen Kimbra's original track here too.

Make sure you check out all the other great remixes that have been submitted to Dezeen Music Project so far.

Dezeen Music Project: Broken Clocks by Jekka

This song by Moscow-based musician Jekka shows what you can do with just a laptop, a microKORG and some talent. Layers of looped vocal samples and a full-blooded synth bass combine to provide a platform for Jekka's powerful, dynamic vocal melody. It's a bold and energetic style that draws favourable comparisons with the excellent Tune-Yards album of last year.

Dezeen Music Project: Lift it Up by Solar Lion

New York artist Solar Lion has sent us this preview of a new track he's working on for his forthcoming EP. Like previous Solar Lion tracks we've featured on Dezeen Music Project, Lift it Up is a fusion of different genres, with modern US dubstep sounds underpinned by the prominent upbeat of a more old-school dub rhythm.

Dezeen Music Project: Cherryade (remix) by Monster Bobby

We've got another remix for you today on Dezeen Music Project, this time courtesy of UK-based DJ Monster Bobby, who's reworked a dreamy shoegazing track by London band Gum.

The remix builds on the original track's reverb-drenched vocals, but breaks up the wall of post-punk distorted guitars underneath to end up with a track that's lush, ethereal as well as a little bit glitchy.

You can listen to the original track here too.

Dezeen Music Project: Keep the Streets Empty for Me (remix) by Fine Cut Bodies

We've got a cracker of a track for you to start the week on Dezeen Music Project, with this glitchy downtempo remix of Keep the Streets Empty for Me by Fever Ray (aka Karin Dreijer Andersson, one half of Swedish dance duo The Knife).

The remix was sent to us by Budapest DJ/producer Fine Cut Bodies, who has managed to keep the eerie ambience of the original track despite working a big, bassy and very squelchy beat in to the mix. He has also very kindly made the track available for free download, so get it here if you like what you hear.

You can listen to the original Fever Ray track here too.

Dezeen Music Project: Baby on My Back by Yair Kass

Dezeen Music Project was behind the decks at PearsonLloyd and Bene's Docklands preview at Hackney House last night. You can check out a few snaps from the event on Facebook here.

This lo-fi track by Yair Kass went down well with the crowd, who were clearly feeling the vintage vibe. As with his track End of the Day that we featured earlier in the year, Baby on My Back gets its retro feel from the old 70s keyboards Yair Kass exclusively used to make it.

Dezeen Music Project: By the Pool by Krusht

This hazy house track by Krusht is taken from his EP of the same name, self-released only last week. It's a great tune in it's own right, but the three tracks on the EP really compliment each other well, so make sure you check it out in full here.

Dezeen Music Project: Theme of the Colossal Squid by Trash Inc.

Theme of the Colossal Squid is by a Beirut producer called Trash Inc.. It's got lush strings, arpeggiated synths and a fuzzy, frenetic bass that's, well, pretty colossal.

Dezeen Music Project: Latido by Francesco Fiotti

England are currently playing their first Euro 2012 match against France, so we needed a track to help ease the tension here in the Dezeen office. This serene latin-infused acoustic guitar instrumental by Francesco Fiotti, which features cello by British musician Marvin Ayres, does the job nicely, whatever team you're cheering on this summer. And if you're not a football fan in need of stress relief, it's a lovely track all the same.

Today on Dezeen Music Project we've got another funky disco re-edit courtesy of DJ/producer Debonair for you to get your Friday night groove on to.

This time it's Lowrell's 80s hit Mellow Mellow Right On to get the Debonair treatment, but if you're feeling in a disco mood make sure you also check out his reworking of Rhyze’s Just How Sweet Is Your Love that we featured on Dezeen Music Project back in March.
