The Shaping Water Competition is a partnership between Dezeen and Villeroy & Boch and Ideal Standard, which challenged architects and designers to create an installation celebrating the essence of water for Clerkenwell Design Week (CDW).
The contest received over 200 entries from 40 different countries around the world. Fifteen designs were selected in the shortlist, with London architecture studio Mamou-Mani winning with its installation Harmonic Tides, a glowing passage of 3D-printed “waves” that will be installed under the historic St John’s Gate in Clerkenwell.
The installation will be open to the public all day from 20 to 22 May at:
St John’s Gate
26 St John’s Lane
London EC1M 4B
In addition, an exhibition of the 15 shortlisted designs will take place at Villeroy & Boch and Ideal Standard’s nearby showroom at the London Design and Specification Centre at 76 Clerkenwell Road.
