LQ chandeliers by Hani Rashid for Zumtobel

Design Miami 07: architect Hani Rashid of Asymptote will show his LQ chandeliers for lighting company Zumtobel at Art Basel Miami Beach next week.

The chandeliers, consisting of modular, chrome-plated luminaires containing LEDs, were commissioned by Zumtobel for its Zumtobel Lighteriors Avant Garde Collection and was first shown in Milan during the furniture fair in April this year.

They will be on show at the Collectors' Lounge at the art fair, which runs concurrently with the Design Miami fair.

    I can dig it! Even though these are beautiful photographs, seeing the piece on an ascending oblique puts it in the proper position.

    I am not sure if it a lower case “l” or an upper case “I” but the name of the project is “LQ”. You can refer to http://www.zumtobel.com/com/en/events_f.htm for more information.
