Milan 2010: designer Hafsteinn Juliusson of Iceland and Italy presented flavoured paper snacks in Milan last week.
Called Slim Chips, the snacks are made of edible paper with organic colours and flavours in peppermint, blueberry and sweet potato.

Here's a tiny bit of text from Juliusson:
Slim Chips are good and they contain no calories. Instead of getting fat you can now eat paper with different flavors. It's like eating tasty air. The Slim Chips are made out of edible paper and pure organic tastes.

I like it. There is probably a big market for it in the USA

Yay!.. this has savoury versions of sugar paper!
At the very least they could have put them in a paper bag. Or an envelope so you can tear chips off at will. That said, anyone eating these (hipster or otherwise) deserves a hammer to the shins.

Honestly I have to say that this is an excellent idea from Hafsteinn Julíusson:

Are you kidding? Instead of pushing for people to live more balanced healthy lifestyles, we are promoting the continuance of excessive eating with empty food. We complained for years about non-nutricious food causing our health demise, and here we have an actual, completely nutrition-less “food” we are praising.

i had mushroom flavoured paper chips once. Tasted terrible and made me hallucinate.
