These lamp shades wrapped in adhesive tape are by Italian designer Sylvia Pichler for design brand Skitsch.

The collection includes a table and floor lamp with tape marked either “fragile” or with a lacy pattern.

Here’s a tiny bit of info from Skitsch:

This project is ‘fragile’ as you could easily make this yourself in about 30 mins, but then again if you don’t have the time ^ this is for you.
Maybe they could do a ‘limited’ edition for xit
@Xit
A journalist said to me in designers days in Paris : “I could do this for Chrismas ” about a design chair by a fashion designer….
Prof Z : Why are you journalist and not fashion leader?
it’s a design of indignation so i’s a design of immediate attention, a design of communication… for skitsch … and it’s not expensive too
Marti Guixé will love this or may be not because i think he is more in deep attention with tape design for Droog…
I looooooooooove the last skitsch collection
A doctorant in design said to me in design it’s impossible to use the word recipe because design is not recipe it’s more complex , it’s a real job….
Prof Z : if a Chef give you recipe, he will be better than you.. It’s the same with a designer…
@ Z, Maybe the journalist doesn't want to be a fashion leader as if it involves making something anyone could make, it doesn't leave much to be desired.
" if a Chef give you recipe, he will be better than you.. It’s the same with a designer… "
Jongerius & Guixé gave us this 'fragile/tape' recipe no ?
I have just seen it in the flesh. They now have a new showroom in London. 270 Brompton Road. Such a lovely shop full of fantastic ideas.
