This week high-profile architects have been making the news, as Frank Gehry completed two homes for hurricane victims (above) and Zaha Hadid revealed designs for a limited edition speedboat (below).
Hadid was also being talked about by music fans, as DJ Roger Sanchez used her name as the title of a new dance track. Meanwhile, Herzog & de Meuron unveiled two underground bunkers for art and performance at the Tate Modern gallery in London (below).
The shortlist for the World Architecture Festival was announced, with entries including a house on a sled and a library clad in firewood, plus here at Dezeen we picked up an award of our own as we were named Digital Business Publisher of the Year 2012 by the Association of Online Publishers.
Projects that can be worn also captured reader's attention this week. Shoes shaped like a bird's skull (above) prompted a discussion about what Biomimicry really means, while a set of tools controlled by mouth movements (below) was described as being "as useless as inventing a bike with square tyres".
