Eindhoven based design studio Atelier NL was named Designer of the Year, one of the six studio categories that can be entered

Dezeen Awards is different to other awards programmes as entry fees are as low as possible and projects are rewarded not only for their beauty, innovation and function, but for the efforts they make to improve the world.

A jury comprising of an outstanding panel of international architects, designers and academics, will judge the awards categories. Keep your eyes peeled for big names to be announced soon.

Last year's inaugural Dezeen Awards attracted 3,689 entries from 91 different countries, making it one of the largest and most international awards programmes in the industry.
