In this movie, jury members of the Samsung Mobile Design Competition discuss how the finalists in the accessory category offered a wide range of interpretations of what a mobile device can be.

The Samsung Mobile Design Competition asked designers to submit proposals for innovative accessory designs to enhance Samsung Galaxy mobile devices.

During the judging session in London, the five finalists in the Next Mobile + category presented their accessory designs to a jury featuring designers Stefan Scholten and Paul Austin, executives from Samsung's IT and mobile communications division, and Dezeen editor-at-large Amy Frearson.

"Through this design competition, we were able to collaborate and communicate with a wide range of creators in the world, which we think is very meaningful," said Samsung.

A video showcasing the work of the finalists in the wallpaper category was published on Dezeen earlier today.

The top three designers selected by the jury in each category will be announced on Dezeen on Monday 28 October. The selected designers will travel to the Samsung Developer Conference which is held in San Jose, California on 29 and 30 October, where mockups of their designs will be on display and the overall winners will be announced.
