ErgoChair Pro by Autonomous

Dezeen Showroom: Autonomous has launched ErgoChair Pro, an ergonomic office chair that offers flexible full-body support and can be used with its SmartDesk Core.

The office furniture company developed the design after it had launched the SmartDesk Core, as it was unable to find a chair that it thought suited the desk.

The backrest and headrest of the ErgoChair Pro are adjustable

"We learned that European design looked cool but too stiff, [with a] focus on durability. They also didn't focus on sitting experience but on art," the company said.

"American office chairs focused on the customer feel while they sit, however, they were too expensive."

Instead, the company released its ErgoChair Pro, which is an ergonomic chair featuring a tilt mechanism designed in Italy and a breathable, responsive Korean mesh back.

ErgoChair Pro has a foam seat and a lumbar cushion

The chair, which supports 158 kilograms, also has a fabric-wrapped foam seat and a lumbar support cushion.

Adjustable armrests are slightly concave to enable the user to cradle their forearms comfortably, and its backrest and headrest are both tiltable.

The headrest can also be pushed forward and backwards to reduce stress on the neck and ease neck pain.
