The Macis desk and Pepe stool by Opinion Ciatti

Minimalist furniture and sculptural chairs from Opinion Ciatti feature on Dezeen Showroom

Dezeen Showroom: Italian brand Opinion Ciatti has presented a selection of contemporary furniture on Dezeen Showroom, including a freestanding bookcase designed as an ode to book lovers and a stool informed by horse-riding saddles.

Designed to be used in waiting rooms and offices, the Yum Yum seating collection is a range of pouf-like seats with a curved ash wood backrest.

Yum Yum chairs have soft, cushioned seats with side pockets

Opinion Ciatti describes the seat as expressing "joy, conviviality, discovery and imagination".

The seats are available as a single armchair, extra-large armchair and two-seater sofa. The Yum Yum collection can be customised in a range of fabrics and colours and each model has a pocket on the side of the seat.

Opinion Ciatti's Loomi armchair comes with an optional table that can hold laptops and books

Designed to offer both comfort and privacy, the Loomi armchair has a padded seat and wide backrest, which is available in fabric or leather finishes.

The sculptural chair also has an optional swivel table, which "turns it effortlessly into an independent and functional microcosm," said the brand.

The minimalist design of the Ptolomeo allows books to be displayed in tall stacks

Ptolomeo is a minimalist bookcase consisting of thin shelves that appear "invisible" when filled with books.

The design gives the aesthetic appearance of a stack of books with the benefit of being a stable structure.

Bruno Rainaldi designed Ptolomeo for Opinion Ciatti as an ode to books and the people that love them.

The Pepe stool is designed to promote good posture by tilting the pelvis forward

Designer Raffaella Mangiarotti took aesthetic and ergonomic qualities from horse-riding saddles to create the Pepe stool for Opinion Ciatti.

The seat has a sculptural silhouette and hand-stitched leather upholstery that references the Wild West.

The Macis desk comes with optional accessories, including a drawer and cork panel

Described by the brand as "nomadic," Macis can be used as a table or a desk and features an aluminium roller connecting two table legs, making it easy for users to move around.

Macis has a minimal design consisting of a steel structure and slim tabletop. Users have the option of incorporating an under-top drawer and a round cork panel that can be used as a display board.
