Dezeen Showroom: a compact kitchen island designed to fit spaces as small as 2.5 square metres is among 10 new products on Dezeen Showroom.
Small Living Kitchens – islands by Falper
Designed to make compact spaces feel luxurious, the Small Living Kitchens system by Falper is made up of islands and storage units that can be configured in a multitude of ways.
The island is available in three sizes, the smallest of which fits spaces as small as 2.5 square metres, and is available in marble or a combination of stainless steel with wood or coloured lacquered surfaces.
Small Living Kitchens was featured on Dezeen Showroom this week, alongside a hand-blown opal glass lamp informed by the shape of traditional fabric lampshades and a tapware collection based on the form of water pumps.

Designed for enveloping comfort, the Ella chair features wings that extend out for the backrest to slightly close off the space for the sitter.
Created by British designer Matthew Hilton for Case Furniture, the chair is available in a range of fabrics and can be paired with a matching ottoman.
Krysset chair by Fredrik A. Kayser for Eikund
Distinguished by its crossing legs and stretched leather backrest, furniture brand Eikund has re-released the Krysset chair.
Krysset was originally created by furniture designer Fredrik A. Kayser in 1955 and is considered to be a classic piece of Norwegian furniture.
Harmony collection by Muza Rugs
The Harmony rug collection by Kosovan brand Muza Rugs comprises seven colourful rug designs that reimagine ancient Albanian motifs.
Harmony rugs are hand-tufted from 100 per cent New Zealand wool and are available in two sizes, 200 by 200 centimetres and 160 by 240.
Chart tile collection by Parkside Architectural Surfaces
Chart is a collection of floor and wall tiles that are available in a variety of colours and formats, created by British tile brand Parkside Architectural Surfaces.
The tiles were designed for busy commercial spaces and can be used for both interior and exterior surfaces.
Soft lamp by Terence Woodgate for Case Furniture
Designed by Terence Woodgate for Case Furniture, the Soft light has a hand-blown opal glass shade that is based on the shape of the traditional fabric lampshade.
The Soft light produces a gentle, dimmable glow that is suitable for a variety of spaces and is available as a table and floor lamp.
Starck by Philippe Starck for Axor
Philippe Starck designed the Starck tapware collection based on the shape of traditional water pumps usually found on farms.
Available from bathroom and kitchen manufacturer Axor, Starck taps are formed of two intersecting cylinders topped with either a pin or feather handle.
Rotonda candle holder by Studioforma
Swiss architecture and design practice Studioforma has created Rotonda, a marble candle holder comprising eight cylinders encased in circular slabs.
Made from white waste marble with anthracite grey veining, the circular elements slot together and can be arranged as the user desires.
Turandot kitchen by Marco Bortolin for Oppein Home
Created by Marco Bortolin for Oppein Home, the Turandot kitchen provides ample practical storage space while combining retro and contemporary design.
Turnadot centres on a kitchen island, which has a curved built-in nook that provides a cosy space to eat.

Citterio tapware collection by Antonio Citterio for Axor
Designed by Italian architect and designer Antonio Citterio for Axor, the Citterio tapware collection is distinguished by its flat, bevelled surfaces.
The collection is available in a range of Axor finishes, including chrome, polished black chrome and brushed gold optic.
