Dezeen's Pinterest roundup features nine daring skateparks
Over the past year, Pinterest users have had a keen interest in skateparks. We've rounded up nine projects from our skateboarding board.
This roundup features bold skateparks from around the world that aim to encourage physical activity, creativity and socialising.
Artists and designers, including Yinka Ilori and Koo Jeong A, have incorporated colour into their designs to create bright and inviting spaces.

Vans skatepark, France, by PlayLab Inc and California Skateparks
Los Angeles practice PlayLab Inc and construction company California Skateparks worked together to design this temporary skatepark, which was unveiled at this year's Paris men's fashion week.
The installation featured Van's distinctive checkerboard motif and contained ramps that were made from transparent plexiglass and arranged in a skateable formation.

South Korean artist Koo installed a skatepark inside Triennale Milano's ground-floor galleria that she covered in glow-in-the-dark paint.
Koo also worked with electronic music producer Koreless to design a soundtrack for the skating experience, which was accompanied by a lighting scheme.
Cárdenas sports complex and skate park, Mexico, by Quintanilla Arquitectos
The Cárdenas sports complex, designed by Quintanilla Arquitectos, is comprised of a basketball court, a soccer field, a skatepark, playground and an outdoor gym.
The skatepark, which is made from concrete, is adjacent to a long double-height steel-and-concrete structure that covers the basketball court and a multipurpose court.

Colorama skatepark, France, by Yinka Ilori
British designer Ilori was invited to design this indoor skate park within the La Condition Publique Cultural Centre near Lille, France.
Ilori employed a vibrant colour palette throughout the space, giving it a strong identity and creating a bright, enjoyable space for skateboarding.

F51, England, by Holloway Studio
F51, which was completed by Hollaway Studio in 2022, is a multi-storey skatepark located in Folkestone in Kent, England.
The building features three skate floors that offer facilities for both skateboarders and BMX riders, including two concrete bowls and multi-level landscapes.
Crystal Palace Skatepark, England, by Canvas
In 2018, skatepark company Canvas was commissioned to design the Crystal Palace Skatepark as a free facility for the local community.
Located in south-east London, this park design comprises three unique sections. Its main feature is a deep clover-shaped bowl, which has stone coping and tiling.

The Skateable Object Park, USA, by Yinka Ilori
The Skateable Object Park is a demountable skatepark that Ilori installed at the Faena District in Miami Beach during Miami art week 2021.
The temporary installation, which was commissioned by Unique Design X Group, features salmon-pink ramps on a bright yellow floor.

Supreme store, USA, Brinkworth
Design studio Brinkworth designed this elevated skateboarding bowl for a Supreme store in San Francisco.
The bowl was built with a curved, wood exoskeleton and textured lacquer, and was fabricated and installed by artist Steve Badgett and his studio SIMPARCH.

Le Cube, France, by MANA and Scott Oster
Architecture studio MANA and skateboarder Scott Oster installed a skate ramp encased within a reflective silver cube in the atrium of Le Bon Marché department store in Paris.
The mirrored cube was added to the store's central atrium to be used as a stage and sculpture.
