Sibylla Hartel will join the Dezeen Awards 2026 architecture jury

Hartel, partner at British landscape architecture firm Gustafson Porter + Bowman, will join the architecture jury.

The architect brings extensive botanical knowledge to the practice and is passionate about creating distinctive, beautiful and robust landscapes.

She has worked on significant landscape architecture projects, including the design and implementation of Taikoo Place in Hong Kong, the design of a planted tower in the City of London and the design development of a landscape masterplan for a research district in Oxford.

Alexy Kos and Che Huang will judge this year's interiors entries

Kos and Huang, co-founders of London-based design practice Child Studio, will join the interiors judging panel.

The studio is known for residential and hospitality interiors that balance architectural heritage with contemporary life, often within listed and historic buildings.

Its work combines natural materials, bespoke furniture and carefully curated antiques and artworks to create spaces with a sense of domesticity and permanence.

Recent projects include a Mayfair pied-à-terre and Belgravia townhouse in London, as well as The Twenty Two hotel and members' club in New York City.

Charlot Magayi is the founder and CEO of Mukuru Clean Stoves

Nairobi-born designer Magayi, founder and CEO of Mukuru Clean Stoves, will join this year's design jury.

Magayi founded the social enterprise to help protect families against deadly factors affecting communities in the African subcontinent, such as household air pollution, energy poverty and malaria.

The organisation has since manufactured and distributed over 700,000 life-saving clean cookstoves and launched the world's first patented mosquito-repellent fuel.

Magayi has been globally recognised as one of the most influential innovators transforming the future of clean energy and public health in Africa, receiving the Earthshot Prize in 2022 and being named a TIME Climate 100 Leader in 2025.

Todd Bracher will join the design panel for Dezeen Awards 2026

Joining Magayi on this year's design jury is New York City-based industrial designer Bracher, creative director of office furniture brand Humanscale.

Bracher has spent over a decade at Humanscale as a key design partner, working on projects including the Path and Trea chairs.

He has accrued numerous accolades for his work, and in 2024, Nova by Humanscale was named Dezeen Awards workplace design of the year.
