Aric Chen
Shanghai-based Aric Chen is a curator, critic, consultant and Design Miami's first curatorial director.
Aric Chen was the lead curator of design and architecture at Hong Kong’s M+ museum between 2012 and 2018, and is now the visual culture museum’s curator at large.
Chen is a professor at the College of Design & Innovation at Tongji University in Shanghai and frequently speaks at conferences, contributes to publications and sits on jury panels across the world. He published a book title Brazil Modern in 2016.
In 2018 Chen became the first curatorial director of Design Miami, which takes place in Florida and Basel.
