Shortlisted for urban house of the year at Dezeen Awards 2019, House in Akashi is a minimalist single story house by Arbol Design.

The structure is divided into three areas, each with a small courtyard: a Japanese-style room looking out onto the garden; a shared living and dining room; and a private laundry space. The building is mainly made of wood; the outer wall and the inner flooring are all made of natural solid wood.
