Studio McLeod has overhauled a former garage to design a sustainable and accessible urban home-for-life in Epping.

The studio has designed the home for an elderly client that wished to replace the garage of her current house, where she has lived for 50 years. It was the client's long-held ambition to build a contemporary and crafted home within her existing community.

The house is a spacious sculptural timber form with crafted details and warm lighting.

This project has been longlisted in the urban house category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
