TAA Design has designed a green roof with stepped planters finished in red plaster and tiles for a house in Quang Ngai, Vietnam.

The studio has created multi-purpose courtyards and agricultural gardens interwoven into the space from the ground floor to the roof, in keeping with the lifestyle of the local people.

The green-roof system makes the smallest volume in the urban area and contributes a common green area to the ecosystem and the environment, as well as proving a food source for meals.

This project has been longlisted in the rural house category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
