Located in the heart of the Soho, Boulevard Theatre is London's newest playhouse with architectural lighting by 18 Degrees.

Lighting design studio 18 Degrees, in collaboration with Soho Estates and architect SODA, have created a unique space for future generations of performance art.

Light is used to transform the look and feel of spaces with natural and artificial light. Expressed light gives the venue a visual identity. In its supporting role, light becomes a canvas onto which artists make their work.

Curating the visual experience from box office, bar, restaurant and auditorium this submission focuses on the auditorium, which is one of Europe's most advanced.

This project has been longlisted in the architectural lighting design category of Dezeen Awards 2020.
