Shortlisted for restaurant interior of the year at Dezeen Awards 2020, %Arabica Coffee West Jianguo Road is a coffee shop in China's Xuhui District, designed by Blue Architecture Studio.

The design concept of the shop involved updating the facade and renovating the interiors.

For the facade, rather than practicing with a conventional method, the studio chose to leave the space completely open by creating a small courtyard around a U-shaped glass box.

The curved glass door, which can be fully opened, and the floor texture extending from the exterior work together to merge the indoor and outdoor space into a whole, and leave the inner and outer boundaries blurred.
