Shortlisted for house interior of the year at Dezeen Awards 2020, Art Villa is holiday home that features an overhanging concrete swimming pool in the Costa Rican jungle.

The studio wanted to build a solid house that would stand out amongst the raw lush vegetation and last for many years.

Formafatal designed bespoke furniture that was produced locally.

The interiors have been designed with the aim of creating an unusual environment, which is both rough and luxurious.

The concrete walls are deliberately left raw, complementing the interior components, such as chosen materials and the use of water and greenery.
