Winner: Product design of the year and Winner: Design Project of the Year 2020. Hans Ramzan has designed a low-cost, easy-to-use, self-testing device that detects HIV.

The device encourages people in developing countries, who have limited access to healthcare, to check themselves for HIV at home.

By allowing users to test for HIV early, before it develops into AIDS, Catch could save millions of lives each year.

Judges comments: "This is a low-cost, simple device that can save lives. It is refreshing to see such a simple and economical design offering the potential to save millions of people, particularly in regions with limited healthcare options."
