This is a small house designed by Unemori Architects with a total floor area of 50 square metres in a densely populated area in Tokyo.
As the surrounding houses close in, we set back the outer wall and lowered the roof as if to counter the smallness of the house. It is a house that comes with small outdoor spaces that are designed to have no specific function and indoor spaces that are designed to have various ceiling height and brightness. This architecture is really about giving shape to the complexity and variety of Tokyo.

This project has been longlisted in the urban house category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
