The Braunstein Taphouse
by ADEPT

Rasmus Hjortshoj

The Braunstein Taphouse stands on a stretch of municipal owned harbour quay that is a potential part of Koege's (DK) climate adaption strategy.

Designing the building for a possible temporary lifespan, the Taphouse is designed for disassembly to make re-use of building components a realistic option – either by re-completing the entire building at a different location or by using building components as part of new projects. The maritime and industrial atmosphere in its surroundings has inspired the architecture that makes the building both belong and stand out as its own.

This project has been longlisted in the sustainable building category of Dezeen Awards 2021.
